Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how "Quietest" handles your data when you use our Chrome extension.

Data Collection and Usage

The "Quietest" extension does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal data, browsing history, or any other user-related information. It works entirely inside your browser.

Data Stored in Your Browser

Quietest saves your settings: which built-in rules are turned on and the regex rules you add. They are saved with Chrome's storage, so Chrome can sync them across your own devices when Chrome sync is on. Quietest never sends them anywhere else.

Permissions

The extension requires minimal permissions to function correctly:

On-Device AI

If you use "Write a rule with AI", Quietest sends your description to Chrome's built-in AI model (Gemini Nano), which runs on your computer. What you type is processed on your device and is not sent to us or to any server. Chrome may download the AI model from Google the first time you use it, as described in Chrome's own documentation.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. Its fonts and icons are included in the extension, so it makes no network requests of its own.

Security

Since "Quietest" does not store or transmit user data, there are no security risks related to personal data exposure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
